Treatment of ion exchange resins from nuclear power plant under decommissioning (Italy)

  • Design, construction and operation of a mock-up installation of Wet Oxidation process for processing organic resins used to purify water circuits in a nuclear power plant.

  • Fully automatic installation for 1 litre / hour flow. Treatment of residual gas and separation of solid phase.
  • A full scale installation has been designed for a nuclear site in Italy (in dismantling phase) in collaboration with Ansaldo Nuclear S.p.A.
  • Granit Technologies deliveries:

o   Full characterization of the process

o   Full engineering and construction of the mock-up installation, including risk analysis and full automation, with effluent preparation, Wet Oxidation process, gas cleaning process, effluent post treatment (concentration)

o   Basic engineering and TA for the full scale installation (plant completion provided within 2015)
